Selecting the right cutting tool material for type of workpiece plays a very important role in machining process. The efficiency process is greatly influenced by this selection. tables manuals or manufacturer's instructions are commonly used documents selection materials. Within each these document types, materials were described different criteria. So, considered as multi-criteria decision-making activity. values criteria can be number certain range. This study proposes new method to rank and select tools. First, ranking solutions criterion will performed. based on mean value solution.
